In short: MAMI Cam is built to work on your device. Your recordings, photos, and
number‑plate detection stay on your phone and on your dashcam — we do not upload them to our servers,
we do not sell your data, and the app contains no ads, no analytics, and no third‑party trackers.
1. Who we are
MAMI Cam (the “app”) is a companion application for MAMI dashcams, provided by Mosfet Tech Solution Pvt
Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and the
choices you have.
The app requires a compatible MAMI dashcam to provide most of its features.
2. Information the app accesses
MAMI Cam does not require you to create an account and does not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use its core features. The app accesses the following, only on your device:
Videos and photos — when you view, download, or export recordings, they are transferred from your dashcam (over the camera’s local Wi‑Fi) to your device and saved to your device’s storage/gallery. These files stay on your device and your camera’s memory card; they are not sent to us.
Number‑plate detection (ANPR) — plate recognition is performed entirely on your device. Detected plate images/text are shown to you and may be burned into videos you choose to export. They are not uploaded to us or any third party.
Location — used on your device to (a) discover and connect to your dashcam’s Wi‑Fi network (Android requires location permission to read nearby Wi‑Fi network names), and (b) display your trip route and speed on a map during live view and playback. Your location is not collected by us, not stored on our servers, and not shared.
Wi‑Fi and network information — used to detect and connect to your dashcam’s access point and to route camera traffic correctly.
Warranty / support details — if you choose to file a warranty claim or contact support, the details you enter (such as a name, contact address, or message) are used only to handle that request and are stored on your device.
3. How the information is used
To connect your phone to your dashcam and stream, record, and capture footage.
To let you browse, play back, download, trim/export, and manage your recordings.
To detect number plates on‑device and let you export annotated clips.
To show your route, location, and speed on a map alongside your footage.
To show download progress and completion notifications.
4. Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share your
footage. The app has no advertising, no advertising ID, and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
Maps: when you view a map, map tiles are loaded from
OpenStreetMap, a third‑party
service. As with any web request, your IP address and the map area you view are visible to the tile
provider to deliver the tiles. See the
OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.
5. App permissions
The app requests only the permissions it needs:
Location (precise) and Nearby Wi‑Fi devices — to find/connect to the dashcam’s Wi‑Fi and show route/speed on the map.
Wi‑Fi / network state and control — to connect to and communicate with the camera.
Notifications — to show download progress and completion.
Storage (older Android versions only) — to save downloaded recordings to your gallery.
Internet / network access — to communicate with the camera and to load map tiles.
The app does not use your phone’s camera or microphone, and it does not access your contacts, messages, or call logs.
6. Data retention
Recordings and other data created by the app live on your device (and your camera’s memory card). You are
in control: you can delete recordings from within the app or your device gallery at any time, and
uninstalling the app removes the data it stored on your device.
7. Data security
Communication with your dashcam happens over the camera’s local Wi‑Fi network. Because your data stays on
your device and camera, the primary protection is the security of your device and camera. We recommend
keeping your device locked, your dashcam’s Wi‑Fi password private, and your app and OS up to date.
8. Children’s privacy
MAMI Cam is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do
not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your rights
Because the app keeps your data on your device and does not collect it on our servers, you can access and
delete your data directly on your device at any time. If you have contacted us and want any information
you sent removed, contact us using the details below.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective
date. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
